The NZ sharemarket held tightly to a 6.52 points gain at 10,926.31 on the NZX50 Gross Index today. Leading the market was Marsden Maritime, which is a participant in a joint venture Northport. The stock jumped 57c or 9% today to $6.87 following the TV1 Q&A programme disclosure of the Upper North Island Supply Chain study group wanting Ports of Auckland to be relocated to Northport. The ‘decision’ is controversial. Several stocks reduced in value a day ago are back up today:  Gentrack +8c at $5.28m Kathmandu +9c at $3.62, a2 <Milk +18c at $12.62. Metlifecare added another 10cv at $5.22 but Ryman fell 7c. Meridian gained 8c at $4.76 but Contact shed 9c to $7.15.. Serko shed 10c to $4.70 as did South Port at $7.00. Auckland Airport fell 19c to $9.10.
