The national sharemarket shed ground today as investors continued to take any gains off the table. The NZX50 closed 58.25 points down at 12,574.35. Earlier, the Dow Jones gained 57.31 to 33,503 on the NYSE’s trading session for Thursday. A2 Milk was off the pace by 29c today to trade at $8.60 despite its long-term prospects being aired in an analyst’s report. EBOS sank 40c to $29.80 and F&P Healthcare fell 18c to $29.80. Mainfreight fell 25c to $68.15 and Freightways 13c to $11.70. Ryman shed 40c at $15.10. Delegat gained a furftherc26c at $15. Scott’s release on sales put a further 20c on share price at $2.40, a gain of 9%. Scales gained 15c to $4.60. The out-performer of the day was Pacific Edge, after announcing the largest medical insurer in the US would provide Cxbladder to members.  PEB shares jumped 21c or 21.21% to $1.20.
