Mediation update by Bathurst
Bathurst Resources says a productive day of mediation talks was held on Monday between Buller Coal Ltd, the Fairdown-Whareatea Residents Association (the "Residents Association"), Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society, Buller District Council and the West Coast Regional Council on the Residents Association's appeal.
“An open dialogue and exchange of views has led to the formation of a working group to move forwards.
This group will consider alternative options for the coal handling facility and the transport of coal from the proposed Escarpment Mine Project. This group will report progress as it happens.”
